ANALYTICS REVIEW.
We will review your website analytics and highlight any traffic spikes you may have had, as well as anything that looks suspicious.
The report will include useful info such as number of visits, bounce rate, page views and a breakdown of where your visitors are coming from (e.g Visiting directly, linked from social media, or from a search engine.
MONTHLY
BACKUPS.
We will create and maintain a backup of your entire website on a separate instance of Squarespace. There are untold numbers of things that will make you glad you have a backup. Accidentally deleting a page or an entire section. Messing up one of the pages beyond hope. Making changes you decide weren’t a good idea after all. Sloppy or malicious activities by site editors. Hackers.
A backup gives you the safety net and allows us to either revert unwanted changes back, or worse case scenario, restore a complete website.
UPDATING PLUGINS AND CUSTOM CODE.
Plug-ins and custom code is continually being improved and updated. This is required to ensure your website continues to run on the newest devices and computers, to stay up to date with the latest security best practices or simply to improve the features.
We will review any site plug-ins and custom code to ensure that they remain up-to-date.
CHECK SPEED & UPTIME MONITORING.
Out of the myriad of monitoring tools that are available on the web, e.g. Site34x7 or Dynatrace, we use Freshping to monitor site availability and uptime.
The service monitors your website’s availability & response time from over 10 locations across the globe and alerts us if your website goes offline for any reason.
This allows us to investigate and resolve any issues quickly to ensure your users and customers experience minimal disruption.
CHANGES AND UPDATES.
Keeping your website content fresh and up to date is critical to search engine rankings. Websites with old content that hasn’t been updated recently will tend to rank lower in the search engine listings.
These hours can be used for anything from text and image updates to new pages or functionality.
Hours included in our support packages are included at half the price of our usual hourly rate. So if you think you'll need a bit of our time, the support packages offer excellent value.
BROKEN LINK CHECK AND REPAIR.
Links are “broken” when they point to a page that no longer exists or can’t be found. There are many common reasons why a page or resource might be missing.
A broken link can severely impact the user experience of your website. Whether a user’s browsing your site’s pages or exploring external links you’ve included, it can be jarring to be met with a 404 error page.
Broken links can also impact page authority earned through internal and external links. Lower page authority can negatively decrease your ranking, especially when compared to your competitors.
We use a tool that scans your website for broken Links, we will then correct, remove or update each of these links so they no longer negatively impact your site.
ACCOUNT SETTINGS REVIEW.
Checking your account settings is important to make sure your site doesn’t have down time to begin with. We will check your settings each month to ensure your licence, domain name, SSL certificate and any additional services (such as scheduling or 3rd party software) are all running smoothly, and remind you when any payments are due to prevent a lapse in payment.
We also check to make sure the appropriate people have privileges to modify your site. You’ll want to make sure the business owner and any people who work on the website are capable of making the changes they need to make (such as blog writings, content editors etc). The opposite is also true, you’ll want to make sure that former employees or contractors who should not be making changes do not have the capability.
We will summarise who has what permissions, and update this for you if required.
MONTHLY SUMMARY EMAIL.
At the end of each month, we'll send you a monthly roundup report, summarising any key findings and fixes we've implemented.
