Evolve’s 2025 Re-cap

To start our 2026 off right we’re looking back on our 2025.

As a company built on Agile principles, looking back is as natural to us as looking forward, and just as (if not more) valuable.  The end of a year brings a natural break point, and a great opportunity to reflect on the events that have shaped us over the last 12 months. It also brings what rightly or wrongly feels like a bit of a clean slate (or in our case digital whiteboard), ready and waiting to be filled with goals for the year to come.

So join us as we review our 2025- what went right, what went wrong, and where we’re hoping the next year will take us.

2025 highlights

  • We set 13 new websites live

  • Completed over 20 SEO lite audits

  • Attended over 100 networking events

  • Celebrated our 3rd birthday

  • Welcomed new members to the team

  • Ran 7 workshops

  • Raised £1332 amount for local charities

  • Did a podcast

What went well

There are a few things we’re really proud of this year: we’ve had some of our biggest projects, and worked with some incredible companies, organisations, and charities; developed our services (see below), and grown as a team. But one of the things that stands out to us as one of our most significant wins is a bit harder to articulate, and that’s how the business feels.

We started Evolve as two friends taking a bit of a risk on something that we thought and hoped we could do really well. We thought long and hard about the kind of team we wanted to start, the kind of team we wanted to be in, and knew that it needed to be grounded in strong Agile principles, where collaborative thinking is encouraged and psychological safety prioritised. And while that sentence might look like we’ve just stuffed as many buzzwords as we can into a row, we’re proud to say that that’s the reality of the environment we’ve created. We knew it would get harder to stay true to these principles as the business grew- it’s not too hard to feel ‘psychologically safe’ when you work with your mates- but we’ve worked hard this year to keep those ways of working at the forefront of everything we do, and we hope the colleagues and clients we’ve worked alongside this year have felt it.

What we learned

It feels like 2025 has been a year of getting to know who we are as a business, and refining what we offer. From the very start of Evolve we’ve known what we wanted to do- to be the digital partner that optimises our clients digital presence in a way that works for them. It’s hard to know if that sounds a bit David Brent (who wants to be known "simply as the man who put a smile on the face of all who he met"), but it comes from time and again seeing the gap in what a lot of clients need and what they end up with, and knowing things can be done better (we’re not bashing all other digital dev companies- we know there’s lots of amazing teams out there who produce incredible work for their clients, there’s just also quite a few who…don’t).

The aim has always been to understand our clients (and crucially their clients) needs, and to improve the value their digital presence brings. And towards the end of 2025 it feels like we’ve really honed in on how best to achieve this. By developing a monthly model that removes the barrier of bulk, upfront payment, and champions targeted and personalised business and digital development, and ongoing support, we feel that we have an offering that helps clients in the way they need it to. We’ve also developed a robust, entry level SEO auditing package- meaning that our clients can get invaluable insights and actionable recommendations to improve their SEO without committing to a full audit.

What (we hope) 2026 will bring

  • A bit of self-love: We’ve got some exciting plans for our own site, and are going to invest some time into making it a better reflection of what we do (it’s been a bit neglected this year- not ideal for a business that prides themselves on their web builds but there’s only so many hours in a day!). We’ve also vowed to be more active on our socials and share more of life at Evolve, so we’ll offer our apologies in advance.

  • Exciting networking opportunities: anyone who’s met our co-founder David knows that his natural environment is being amongst the people. This year we hope to continue to grow our network of like minded businesses and clients, and keep David happy connecting with people.

  • New tech: The tech world never stands still, and we love to move with it. This year our co-founder Dan will be continuing to dedicate time to researching new tools and best practices, making sure our clients can access the best digital options for them.

  • More good times: they say do a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. And while we still (definitely) want a few holidays this year, we also want to acknowledge how grateful we are that we get to call hanging out with your friends and playing on your computer ‘work’. Thank you to all our amazing clients who make this happen.

So, as we power through the second month of 2026, we hope the year has started well for you. May it be filled with successful endeavours, good health and happiness.
